Earlier this week at the Tiburon CEO Summit, the most famous person in my industry, Ken Fisher, made some comments on stage at an investment conference that sparked a backlash.

According to the Washington Post, Fisher’s comments were “Crude, inappropriate remarks, including comparing his wealth management strategy to picking up women for sex.” That account was backed up by numerous attendees in the Twitterverse.

You might recognize the name Ken Fisher if you live in Newtown, Yardley, Doylestown, Pennington, Princeton, or Washington Crossing and the surrounding areas because you get mail from his firm every week.

And if you’re in those locations, you also see an ad from him every time you open up a web browser. He claims to spend 10% of his firm’s revenues on advertising every year. I don’t know what his revenues are or if that claim is true, but he manages $112 billion in investable assets. If true, he must spend at least tens of millions of dollars on ads.

Anyway, that $112 billion is $111.9 billion more than us. (We only manage about $100 million.) So if you want a local wealth management firm where you can meet with the owner face to face, talk with them, not talk to a call center, and have your wealth management without the side of misogyny, please click on the link below, send us your contact info, or give us a call. We’d love to meet.

My name is Mike Garry, and my company is Yardley Wealth Management. We’re a fiduciary, financial planning and wealth management firm in Newtown, Pennsylvania. That’s in Bucks County.

Are you ready to transfer out of Fisher Investments? If so, we can help! Please enter your name, phone number and email and someone will get right back to you or you can call us at (267) 291-4918.
